The Barracuda Anti-Scale water treatment system is the convenient solution to water problems caused by scale, corrosion, and iron and manganese staining. Stop Scale Build-Up
Scale build-up in plumbing and water heaters causes a loss of presure and efficiency. The Barracuda Anti-Scale System treatment inhibits the formation of scale by keeping the minerals of the water in solution. Through its continued use, the existing scale in plumbing pipes and fixtures is softened and removed.

Control Corrosion
Corrosion is often first detected as blue stains from copper or brass, or as red stains from iron or steel. Soft water can also cause corrosion if it is too acidic (low pH) or if it contains dissolved oxygen which reacts with iron or steel pipe, producing rust.
Corrosion is controlled by the deposit of a thin protective film on the surfaces of the plumbing system, which prevents the corrosive attack on the metal.

Clear Up Red Water
Red and black water are caused by the presence of dissolved iron and manganese in the water. When air or other oxidizing agents such as chlorine or bleach come in contact with the water, the iron and manganese precipitate causing red or black water.
